Found in storage in South Texas, this is a recording of Country Jim Bledsoe of Shreveport, Louisiana. Bledsoe was a somewhat obscure character who made several records in Shreveport in 1949-50. As the pseudonym suggests, his music was down-home country blues accompanied only by his guitar, a string bass and occasional drums. This record appears to be in near mint condition. No scratches, no scuffs. Found in the sleeve, I doubt it has ever been played. The bit of record that extended past the envelope was dusty, that's it. Here's a chance to own a rare artist that would be a must for any blues collector. Tunes are: Avenue Breakdown/Rainy Morning Blues. Thanks for looking.
