One of a kind recording made for an unnamed MGM movie. One sided: "You'll Never Know" Versions 1 and 2.
Here's the thing: it's not the famous "You'll Never Know" of Alice Faye / WWII fame. This is a different song. The first version is a ballad, while the second is up-tempo. I have no idea what picture this was in, if it ever was. Anyone who has any information, please email me?
I also don't know who the female artist is, but she sings both versions. Could be an extremely rare number that was never used or cut--I can't find it anywhere. The date listed is 2-20-1941. So it's possible this is Vera Lynn singing a different version of the song that was cut in favor of the more popular version. If so, then it's a very rare piece of music history--possibly the only recording of what sounds like a very good tune.
