Glossy Columbia hillbilly 78 from October 1928 recorded in Johnson City, TN by Ancil McVay and Roland Johnson, who were members of Ernest Phipps Holiness Singers. Later that month, they would be in Bristol with Phipps on his Victor sessions. Terrific religious sides with fiddle, guitar, banjo-mandolin and the spirit of Ernest Phipps Holliness Singers without the clapping. From the Don Kent collection.
