DESCRIPTION: "Gate Mouth" is a great jazz stomp with Louis Armstrong only featured prominently on the label by the marketing boys at Columbia - George Mitchell holds his chair on the session and along with Kid Ory, Lil Armstrong and Johnny St. Cyr produce a classic side. That being said, the star of the show is Johnny Dodds' amazing clarinet and this side is one of his shining moments. Some scuffing and light wear, but music is loud and clear. Johnny St. Cyr autograph scratched onto label "Perdido St." side.
