Description


From a large early blues collection once owned by Lou Black, banjo player in the 1920s and 30s....who played with some famous groups in Chicago including the New Orleans Rhythm Kings.

I just cleaned this 78 on my Ultrasonic Record cleaner.  It really gets the grime out and only uses water. 

I will give you a visual description as well as an audible one.  My player is a cheap Crosley reproduction for 78's, so you may have better sound with a better rig set up for 78's.  The needle feels very heavy...probably several grams at least of pressure.  It also plays 45s and 33s so I don't think it has a specialized needle just for 78s.  This is the only playback I have available for 78s.  I do not have the ability to do sound files either. 

VISUAL:  Visually, this record is very clean.  Slight wear to one of the labels....most likely from storage.  Very few marks, and none significant whatsoever.  Excellent gloss.
 
AUDIO:  Plays wonderfully with really no background noise.  I would give it an EX or EX+ in the lp world.
