Description

A Collection of Five, 10 inch, 78rpm records from the Australian Record Company on the Rodeo Label, featuring some well and lesser known Australian Country and Western artists of the 1950's era.

See the photos for individual pictures of the labels, giving exact details of both sides of each record.

Artists include: Kid Mahoney, Tim McNamara, The McKean Sisters, and Tex Morton

All records are in at least Good condition.  Most are Very Good (see definitions at the end of this description). One label of the Tex Morton record is lightly damaged.

As with most products of the Australian Record Co on Rodeo or Pacific records, the discs do show some imperfections from the manufacturing process but not from damage.

I do not offer any records which I believe will not play satisfactorily.

Sleeves, Mostly Good Condition, are supplied for all records, but are not all originals.

This is a Rare collection of Australian C&W music on an Australian Label from the 1950's and includes some early releases.

See this website for the complete discography from Rodeo:  http://www.globaldogproductions.info/r/rodeo-oz.html

Bidding commences at only $8 per record.

I welcome questions about this item and will investigate any details at your request.  I can usually supply additional photos if you ask for them.

I prefer Australian Customers to use Direct Credit to my Bank Account for payment please.

I will pack this item carefully to allow for normal postal handling. This will include bubble wrap or foam and cardboard as required. I don't aim to make a profit on postal costs, but I include a small amount for the Special Packaging and Handling for these Fragile items, to cover my time and costs. I use recycled packaging where appropriate.

Postal charges may appear high, but this is due to the fact that these old records are quite heavy.

These records are fragile and despite careful packaging, may be damaged in the post.  I only offer local pickup or insured post within Australia, which includes compensation for loss or damage of the article.

I have other interesting items listed or to be listed shortly; Check out my Check out my  other items!

I am happy to combine postage if you win several items.  Just let me know what you are still bidding on and then wait for my invoice before you pay.

Thank you for your interest and Good Luck!

RECORD GRADING:

All Records are from a family collection and have been carefully used and stored over many decades.

All Records are used and will therefore not be in mint unused condition.  Although stored carefully, they have not been played for many years and may be dusty or fingerprinted, so will normally benefit from being cleaned before playing.

Unless otherwise indicated, records have been graded by their visible condition and have not necessarily been played.  Therefore it is possible that a defect could be present which affects play without being visible.

No Records listed have significant chips, cracks or scratches which could be expected to prevent play.

Note that records from earlier years will generally be recorded at lower levels and even in pristine condition will invariably have some surface noise when compared to more modern records

Excellent: This is my highest grade and represents a record in top visible condition with no significant marks or wear.  Labels are also in excellent condition.

Very Good: Record may have minor marks from use or from being pulled in and out of a cover or from storage; generally will play with little to no surface noise.  Any scratches or wear should not noticeably affect play.  Labels may show minor marks.

Good: Visible scuffing or surface wear may be present, but not enough to significantly affect play.  Records may have surface noise and some damage to the labels

Fair: Obviously used. Record will display many scuffs or scratches, but should play with a tolerable amount of noise.  The outer edge or the hole may have damage which should not impact upon playback.  Labels may have heavy wear, writing or stains, and possible tears.

All records include paper sleeves.  Sleeves are used and will therefore not be in mint unused condition.

Where possible, original sleeves with the same branding as the record will be supplied.  Otherwise a plain sleeve or a different brand will be substituted.
