Grading System
N (78) M (LP). As new and unplayed virtually no 78s that can categorically be claimed to be unplayed.
N- (78) M- (LP). Nearly Mint, but has been played. No significant visible signs of wear or damage.
E+ (78) Plays is vey good, with a few signs of handling, including scuffs and light marks
E (78) VG The record still has shine with no visible significant signs of wear but does include some or all of the following ,light wear, light scuffs and scratches.
E- (78) VG- (LP). Record still has some shine but without the lustre of a new record, light to medium wear, scratches and scuffs, but no skipped or repeat grooves.
V+ is an average condition 78 in which scuffs, scratches and general use has dulled the finish. Wear is evident but moderate and playing is mostly but not entirely free from distortion. Surface noise is evident but not overly pronounced. No skips or repeat grooves.
