 78 tours Decca WA 878 (GB) "Monkabi Mmama (Highlife Twi) / "Keteke" (Fanti) by the Stargazers Dance Band. Another great highlife band.Strong American influence (calypso & jazz). It gives an hot & rich dance music. Superb tenor sax & vocals. M

any musicians from their ranks had long career (Ebo Taylor, some others with Osibissa,…) .1958; super arr. & ensemble playing. Grade: Vg+ (wear & scrs but plays well as often those end of the fifties press, very light warp) Label: E- (initials)

E+  very glossy & absolutely clean (usually from dead stock)

E    Glossy & clean, some marks or superficial scrs

Vg+ Some wear, but some gloss too, some scrs, still sounds clear & loud

Vg    Considerable wear, not so glossy anymore, plays ok but surface noise and pops

Vg-   Worn , heavy surface noise and pops but still playable

G    considerable noise, a wreck (just good to fill your shelf or for information....)
