Description
Joséphine Baker and her Casino de Paris Melodic Jazz Orchestra under direction of Edmond Mahieux
The Lady who was a muse for contemporary authors, painters, designers and sculptors, including Langston Hughes, Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Pablo Picasso, and Christian Dior but who was most of all a bright shinning star on her own, recorded this in July of 1930 when she was working at the Casino De Paris. Johnny Dunn and Oscar Aleman played in this group, but I'm not sure they're on this very recording. I have no Euro discography.
