Description
Here's a very rare issue from 1952 on Detroit's Von label. L.C. Green with Going Down To The River Blues, and Sam Kelly's ONLY RECORDING, Ramblin' Around Blues. I have shown this disc's only flaws in the 3rd photo. These two scratches play through just fine on my modern equipment and only one of them seemed audible in the last 4 grooves or so as a pop. They are on the Sam Kelly side. Other than that, the record surface and labels are pristine.
My Grading System –Sight based only unless otherwise indicated
E. Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear.
E-. Still shiny but without the luster of a new record, few light scratches.
V+. Average condition 78 in which scuffs, surface scratches, and use have dulled the finish somewhat.
V. Less than average condition, but still considered playable. Scuffs and surface scratches throughout.
V-. Playable but quite heavily grayed throughout. The type of 78 you would typically see in a stack without sleeves for 50 years or more. If you want the title, it’s still worth it.
P. Wall-hanger.Love the label and title? Would look great on the wall.
Shipping and handling
It costs me $3.00 per record to make sure your record arrives safely. It will be sandwiched by cardboard pads, surrounded by peanuts or crumpled newspaper, and packed securely in a 12” x 3” box. Shellac records are very fragile, and I want your record to arrive safely in one piece.
