78 rpm MERRY CHRISTMAS by Bing Crosby with Andrews Sisters

Sorry to get this listed a bit late, but I wanted to give this one last listen after the holidays. I think you'll understand my ambivalence in letting this excellent album go. My only hope is that it finds a home where it will be treasured for years to come.

This vintage Christmas Album by Bing Crosby is a classic that has been repressed countless times on a wide variety of media. But this is your chance to own it in its original 78rpm form.

The four-album set includes the following songs:

• Silent Night, Holy Night
• Adeste Fideles
• White Christmas
• God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
• I'll be Home for Christmas
• Faith of Our Fathers
• Jingle Bells
• Santa Claus is Comin' to Town

(for the last two numbers, Bing is joined by the Andrews Sisters).

This album is in very nice condition. The cover itself looks good with some scuffing and corner wear. It looks like the spine has been repaired with a small bit missing and another title showing underneath. Overall, given its age, it looks quite nice. The records themselves are in good condition with what appears to be only minor surface scratching. Overall very playable indeed.

He's the one unfailing ambassador of the Good Neighbor policy, and there's more international good will in every note he sings than in any speech any politician ever made. In the U. S., he's just plain Bing, or just plain Crosby . . . or whatever Bob Hope is currently calling him. Not only does everybody know the guy, but he holds a kind of national acceptance, aifection, and esteem such as the American people have given to only one other entertainer. . .the late Will Rogers. Crosby, like Rogers, transcends his_profession. His personality; the Americana he somehow represents; the democratic attitude he typifies; and his unfailing ability to please-whether singing, acting, or just talking-all have made him much more than a name.
