78 rpm- Victor 24700- Ray Noble O with Al Bowlly vocal. Midnight the Stars and You/ An Hour Ago This Minute.

 

Not only is this one of the most beautiful dance band sides recorded in the 1930s, but it got a second life being used in a key scene in The Shining. The 1980 horror-drama film directed by Stanley Kubrick and starring Jack Nicholson. This tune was used in the haunting ballroom scene and in the closing. The record and film a cult classic!

 

This rarely seen original 78 is pressed on Argentinian Victor in February 1934 and is in E condition, meaning EXCELLENT range- just slight wear and a couple of minor surface scratches which do not sound.
