78 rpm records will be 1). strengthened by a 4-layer cross-corrugated cardboard "sandwich" 2). surrounded and cushioned by packing peanuts or bunched packing paper and 3). mailed in either a). a 12 x 12 x 4 inch (for 10” discs) or b). a 14 x 14 x 4 inch (for 12” discs) corrugated shipping box clearly marked FRAGILE. We try our best to accurately describe the age and condition of items, wrap them carefully, ship them quickly, and maintain good communication. Please have a look at the photos and send questions you might have about the item. We will do our best to answer quickly. Records are graded visually unless there is an obvious flaw that needs testing (for example a deep needle dig, lamination crack, or large blister). Grades follow the VJM method. They are reported for the A side (a B side is reported if there is a wide discrepancy between the A and B). We ship to the address verified by eBay. Shipping speeds are estimates from carriers (USPS, UPS, Asendia, etc.). During the pandemic packages may be delayed. Delays to destinations outside North America have sometimes been longer than we'd like. We have no control over this. If your order goes through Customs inspection, it may be delayed. Some countries impose duties and taxes on purchases; these will be the buyer's responsibility. Packages shipped to mainland USA include tracking for the shipping price quoted here. Some countries will not have a tracking option; this varies over time. We will combine shipping wherever items can be safely mailed together. N- new minus: full original luster. Appears un-played with no signs of use. Possible slight sleeve or storage marks.
E+ excellent plus: full luster, very few careful plays. Slight indication of use or handling.
E excellent: almost full luster. Mild signs of careful play but no serious scratches or scuffs.
E- excellent minus: some luster remains. Surface shows some light groove wear, light scuffs and/or light scratches.
V+ very good plus: groove wear, scuffs and scratches are more pronounced. Moderate graying. Moderate surface noise.
V very good: grooves are quite gray showing deeper wear. Obvious surface noise. An “average used 78”.
V- very good minus: further deterioration. Deeper groove wear causing heavier surface noise.
G good: heavy use. Deeply grayed. Surface noise about equal to music level.
F fair: may skip. Surface noise probably exceeds music level.
P poor: barely playable to unplayable.
