Our GRADING for pskorst (our sister 78 record ebay name) and us ( bigbillkorst ) is simplified as follows    strong V+, V+, strong V, V, weak V, V- and Poor.  A  strong V+  in my book is going be nearly flawless--or very light flaws--I rarely do a V++--a  strong V+   is going be sharp with little to very little wear.   A   strong V  (not +)  may have light scratches--nothing significant--no digs here. I suggest trying one of our strong V records or better to get an idea of where my grading is at-- I am very aware of hair cracks, rim chips that affect grooves (and will spot them) and will mention anything that (rule of thumb) you can feel with your finger nail.  Luckily my eye sight is good up close so I strive to have very consistent grading. Packing  We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 6" box. We have had less then 5 problems with damage on 2800+ records shipped so far.  Peter

78RPM Columbia 37888 Bill Monroe, Blue Moon of Kentucky / Goodbye Old Pal  V- to weak V-  This circa 1947 record is in V- to weak V- condition with scratches/blemishes/scuffs -Blue Moon side has mostly moderate to heavyish wear--the Pal side has a half inch minor lam crack (not visible on Blue side) from the edge--that really doesn't matter and also appears it will not affect play, it has a bit more scratchiness then Blue and similar moderate to heavy wear   Graded visually.  Spindle holes have some paint chipping on edges but the hole wall integrity looks fine-- and the labels have slight wear -I did get that sticker off but took some red paint off too--1 and a 1/2 ladybug sized paint damage now where sticker was.  Will be in an original slightly worn Columbia paper sleeve.
