Our GRADING for bigbillkorst2 is E+ (or NM) I rarely use on 78s, E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 4" box. We have had few problems with damage on the many 1000s of records we have shipped so far. Peter
78RPM Columbia (Japanese) S 10006 Don Redman - Chant of the Weed (early cultural reference to marijuana) / Chocolate Dandies - Dee Blues high grade E to E+ (or NM) This rare circa 1945-51 Japanese record is in a beautiful E to E+ (or NM), this is great shape--all I see is light wear and few visible flaws. PROVENANCE: This was acquired by my dad in Japan during the Korean war, he grabbed a handful of great Jazz records as he came back to the USA. The customs officials back then said he had to cover the labels (the company name) on these 78s--so he put tape over the labels --that is why the labels have some damage spots. Knowing my dad he rarely played these and just kept them on a shelf in a heavy sleeve--till I'm selling it now, only have 1 of this. Labels have some damage spots mentioned earlier, holes are fine, see the 6 photos. This will come with the vintage heavy sleeve it has been stored in the last 7 decades.
