Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 5" box. We have had few problems with damage on the many 1000s of records we have shipped so far. Peter
78RPM Gennett 5373 Doc Cook's Dreamland Orch., with Freddie Keppard, Jimmie Noone + other great pioneer Jazz artists, Moanful Man / Lonely Little Wall Flower, V with a 1 inch hair crack from edge This rare c1924 great Jazz record is in a V condition, this has medium average wear + flaws. I played both sides on a badly set up 78 system--my 92 year old dad who got this Gennett back in the day can't move enough to get the right stylus on this (or show me how to rig it right)--he graded it a V on play with this worn stylus, it played though without any glitches or skips or jumps, I just double checked the starts of this (to hear that) 1 inch fine hair crack (6th and 12th photos a + b sides above)-- I really couldn't hear anything that sounded like clicks either side. Visually this looks medium average, it has some swirl type scratches (on the a side)--my player handled those with no glitches, nothing notable or big wrong on this besides the minor hair crack, see my 12 photos above to judge the shellac surfaces for yourself. Graded visually. Spindle holes and labels have mild to medium wear. Will be in the vintage paper sleeve it has been stored in for 7 decades. Please email with any questions. Buy it now for $299.95.
