Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 4" box. We have had few problems with damage on the many 1000s of records we have shipped so far. Peter
78RPM Okeh 6270 Billie Holiday - God Bless The Child / Solitude, well worn V- hair crack This rare c1941 original label (they repressed this on 78 a year or two later on a newer Okeh label) legendary (biggest of all Jazz) artists 78 record well worn, I played parts of both sides, the God side, has V- type background noise, you can hear it OK, the Solitude side has the bad side of a 1 inch lam crack from edge, it has no affect on the God side, the Solitude side--5 seconds at the start it clicks, then that side gets a little less noise then the God side, visually this is well worn V- maybe even V- weak V- V-, pretty scruffy, see the photos above. Graded visually. Labels have are decently worn too, with some letters etched on both labels, hole is fine. Will be in the sleeve it has been stored in for many decades.
