Our GRADING for pskorst and bigbillkorst (our sister record ebay names) is E+ (or NM), rarely use on 78s, E, E-, V+, V, V- and Poor. Packing We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 5" box. We have had less then 5 problems with damage on 8800 records shipped so far. Peter
78RPM Trumpet 146 Elmo James, Catfish / Dust My Broom V with hair crack, see the 12 pixs This circa 1951 vinylish blues 78 record is in a V condition, this is a consistently average clean 78 with no big flaws besides the 1/2 inch hair crack, nothing really notable--besides the hair crack. The 1/2 inch hair crack from the edge (I shot close ups pixs of both sides)--the Catfish side of the crack is probably the worst because it has some edge flaking or little non smooth spots--this may be able to be filled with graph pencil and that would probably smooth it out--I will do that if asked (I have graph pencil). The hair crack on the Dust side looks smoother and that may slightly click only--the hair crack actually goes in 3/8 of an inch into the grooves on both side. Like I said before besides the crack--there is not much notable on this--basically a clean V, only have 1 of this, see my 12 photos to judge the surface for yourself. Graded visually. Spindle holes and labels have mild to medium wear. Will be in a the vintage paper sleeve it has been stored in for 6-7 decades. This comes from a great old Jazz record collection.
