Our GRADING for bigbillkorst2 is E+ (or NM) rarely use on 78s, E, E-, V+, V,  V- and Poor.  Packing  We ship these antique, fragile shellac records in cardboard squares surrounded by padding, floating inside a 12" x 12" x 4" box. 78RPM Victor 27221 Duke Ellington + Jimmy Blanton, Sophisticated Lady / Pitter Panther Patter, high grade E to E- to E * the spot at 8PM on Lady is benign minor*  This rare great Ellington 78 circa 1940 record is in an above average, sharp EE-E condition, this is light wear and few light flaws, the spot at 8pm at end of Sophisticated is non-feelable and looks benign--it is a very minor blemish (appears it will not affect play)--it shows so well because this record is in great shape, there is nothing else notable on either side--real nice shape, just the slightest hint of wear--and not much--I just asked my 91 year old dad about this record--he said he bought it new at the store and has probably played it about 15 times in its life (that's the hint of wear I spoke of) --this one is a great record, see my 10 photos above to judge the shellac for yourself--that is what an E should look like and I call it an E E- E thats conservative grading--I'm sick of all these Es that I would call V+ and I am sure you are too if you buy them. Graded visually.  Spindle holes and labels have little to mild wear. Will be in the vintage heavy paper sleeve it has been stored in for 7 decades, only have 1 of this.
