Description

Hard to find 10” 78rpm shellac disk from 1959 featuring THE COASTERS: Poison Ivy / I’m a hog for you - London label, HLE8938.

“Poison Ivy” is graded VG with some dulling of the surface, some groove wear and some minor scratches; I've posted a few photos which hopefully will give you a good idea. It still plays through OK but with some deterioration of sound quality due to the groove wear.

“I’m a hog for you” is VG+ with a good shine and some surface scratches but plays fine.

Clean bright labels with no writing. Very slight edge warp which doesn’t affect play.

Plain sleeve in good condition with no splits, no tears and no writing – just some minor creasing (see images).

NOTE: Test played on specialist hi-fi equipment with light weight pick-up, not steel needle.

The item will be packed securely in layers of bubble wrap and thick card to prevent damage in transit. The postage cost includes packing materials. Please leave feedback once your item arrives; this lets me know it has arrived safely and I will then give you feedback. If the disk arrives damaged, please let me know before you provide feedback and send pictures of the damage and packaging – I can usually arrange a refund.

I can combine postage with other disks of the same size if required. I can also post overseas - please ask for a price.
