Description
Two Christmas-themed 78rpm 10” shellac disks from Frank Sinatra:
Christmas Dreaming / I’ll make up for everything – Columbia DB2365 released 1947. Condition is EX- with a very good shine and just a few light surface marks. Both sides play through very well. Clean bright labels with no writing. Company sleeve in good condition with no splits or tears and no writing, but a small amount of tape stuck to the front. (see images).
White Christmas / The Christmas Waltz – Capital CL14174, released 1954. Condition is EX- with a good shine and just a few light surface marks. Both sides play through with just the usual surface noise for a shellac disk, although I noticed a couple of faint pops on the intro to “White Christmas” but nothing too distracting. There is a very slight edge warp but this doesn’t affect play. Bright, clean labels with no writing. Company sleeve with no splits, no tears and no writing. To note: “White Christmas” is not the same recording as the earlier Columbia 1946 release; this 1954 version is harder to find.
NOTE: Test played on specialist hi-fi equipment with light weight pick-up, not steel needle.
The disks will be packed securely in layers of bubble wrap and thick card to prevent damage in transit. The postage cost includes packing materials.
