  Ronnex 1105 (Belgium) "Oh Marie" / "Shtiggy Boom" by Bill Johnson & his Rockers. I think that it's his last record. This great pioneer in jivin' R'n'B made records in the 1940's and early 1950's for RCA (with his Musical Notes) . Many of his records had great vocal by the band. Here it's great hot jivin' tunes with great baryton sax and rhythm, vocals being very close to the emerging doo wop (ca 1955). Ray Maxwell organised some recording session in the States, some of them were issued on very rare small labels in the States and other were issued only in Belgium. This is one of them...this record is certainly the rarest by this great band and is one of the rarest items to add to any early Rock'n'Roll / Rhythm and Blues collection!!! 
The legendary Ronnex label (led by Ray Maxwell who directed also Moonglow and many other small labels in the States & in Belgium), the pressing quality being exceptionnally good, the Belgian press sounds often a lot better than the American original press!!! Don't miss that great & rare one !!!
