78 rpm-

Plug for Baby Its Cold Outside--an original Columbia lacquer acetate recording dated 5/5/49, with Buddy Clark, Dinah Shore and composer Frank Loesser. Great content as Buddy and Dinah are waiting for Frank to arrive with the new song they've heard so much about. Loesser arrives and accompanies the duo on piano- then explains that if the song sounds familiar, it was sung at parties by Loesser and his wife Lynn. This is the story that was told often in the news in 2018 when the song became controversial and was banned by many radio stations at Christmas time. It was written up in newspapers, on tv, etc, and became sort of an anthem for the #metoo movement. This is an original pressing from the estate of a Columbia records recording engineer and was not issued for the general public, but only as a promo for the song. It is not the same as the famous 78 sung by Buddy Clark and Dinah Shore...

It is a 12" record in E+ condition, in an original Columbia sleeve and plays equally well with an LP microgroove, of 78rpm stylus at 78 rpm...

They are play graded on a modern turntable using a new Stanton 2.7 mil stylus. I have been collecting, buying, selling, packing and shipping for decades so have experience in all of these aspects, so please feel free to bid with confidence!
