     Decca WA  1882 (GB) "Nwapa Calypso" / "Mgbe Nnwelu Ego" (highlife in Ibo) by  IBO E.C.ARINZE AND THE EMPIRE RHYTHM from Nigeria. Sounds almost like a live recording, the musicians playing lousy and relaxed, the tailgate trombonne is reminiscent of the New Orleans jazz. The legendary Chief Stephen Osita Osadebe started his career in this band playing mainly in Nigeria & Lagos. Grade: VG (wear & many scrs but rather superficial despite some surface noise , still a good player) Label: Vg++ (residue of tape & wear) If you don't know this band listen to youtube this representative of their works http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYak_yo2d-U

NM-  very glossy & absolutely clean (usually from dead stock, I don't use it for shellack records))

E    Glossy & clean, some marks or superficial scrs

Vg+ Some wear, but some gloss too, some scrs, still sounds clear & loud

Vg    Considerable wear, not so glossy anymore, plays ok but surface noise and pops

Vg-   Worn , heavy surface noise and pops but still playable

G    considerable noise, a wreck (just good to fill your shelf or for information....)
