Description

   Photovox acetate (Belgium) "Ornithology" / "Honky Tonk Train Blues" by J.Lienaux (p), F.Laute (electric guitar) & J.P. Ledger (drums). Recorded in Belgium (La Louviere) probably ca 1946. A great jazz trio playing jazz with strong bebop influences. The choice of Honky Tonk Train Blues seems to indicate a very early stage of the new jazz in Europe. On this last side the guitar player seems to be influenced by T Bone Walker. Those young musicians disapear of the Belgian scene...Grade: VG (grooves are in excellent condition, but some storage marks & moisture, plays well despite surface noise) artisanal label...

NM-  very glossy & absolutely clean (usually from dead stock, I don't use it for shellack records))

E+ Glossy eventually light handling or storage marks

E    Glossy & clean, some marks or superficial scrs

Vg+ Some wear, but some gloss too, some scrs, still sounds clear & loud

Vg    Considerable wear, not so glossy anymore, plays ok but surface noise and pops

Vg-   Worn , heavy surface noise and pops but still playable

G    considerable noise, a wreck (just good to fill your shelf or for information....)
