 Columbia ESN212 (GB) "Nalel Mama" (rumba Lingala) / "Rythmo Elegance" (cha cha cha in Spanish) by Lefou accompagné par l'orchestre Elegance Jazz / Jacky accomp. par l'orch. Elegance Jazz. I suppose that Jacky & Lefou were part of the band and as composer of the songs they are "fronting" the band. I don't speak Spanish but probably nobody will understand the lyrics, as many singers at the time try to give a Cuban flavour by singing in pseudo Spanish (usually some cliché and non sense words sounding like...). Later they would eventually used the Indoubil, a kind of dialect used by the hipsters/ gangs. This appelation being a contraction between Indou (Hindu) and Bill, as those teenagers liked Western Movies (Bill) & Bollywood movies (Indou). Those sessions comes from Essengo (1960) which usually recorded artist with a strong Cuban influence. Great vocals & guitar, superb clarinet with a flavour from the Antilles (Essou ?).  Grade: vg+ (glossy, light wear & light scrs, plays better ) Label: E

grading system.

NM-  very glossy & absolutely clean (usually from dead stock, I don't use it for shellack records))

E    Glossy & clean, some marks or superficial scrs

Vg+ Some wear, but some gloss too, some scrs, still sounds clear & loud

Vg    Considerable wear, not so glossy anymore, plays ok but surface noise and pops

Vg-   Worn , heavy surface noise and pops but still playable

G    considerable noise, a wreck (just good to fill your shelf or for information....)
