Description
This is NOT the vinyl you may have run across online. This is ABSOLUTELY the 1939 shellac 78rpm set and the discs are EXCELLENT. The individual sleeves holding the discs are all VG+. The album holding the records in their sleeves is GOOD+, showing its age (82 years young) with shelf wear and a ½” tear at the top of the spine's fabric sleeve.
The record label is “Liberty Music Shops”, the title of this 5-record album set is “Melodies of the Twenties” and the cat. #s are: L-272/3/4/5/6. Each side of each disc has 3 songs played by Emile Petti And His SAVOY-PLAZA ORCHESTRA. That’s 60 melodies from the 1920’s!
LIBERTY MUSIC SHOP Records was a record label formed in New York City in 1933. Its catalogue included Lee Wiley and Ethel Waters. At one time in the late 1930s, Liberty had three shops in New York City
