Description
decca records , boogie woogie bugle boy ,bounce me brother with a solid four
on one side of the record, there is a chip on the edge and the chip does go slightly into the grooves but only on one side. the record will still play but you would have to take the arm of the record player and set it down on the record like on a victrola, but this you would have to do anyhow unless you have an automatic record player.and if you want to use an automatic record player which has an automatic changer, then this is what you do: you take the record and where the chip is, you fill in the space with bondo. Now, bondo is used to fill in dents on cars and it hardens quickly and so you fill in the space and let it harden. once it is harden, you then take a fine piece of sandpaper and sand it down to make it even with the surface of the record. once that is done, you can either leave it or you can paint it with a black paint which requires the use of a brush. don't use a spray can, because paint will then get on the surface of the record unless you put tape around the chip area, and then you can spray the area . and thats it. once everything is done, you can put the record on the spindle and turn on the record player and move the knob or lever to on. and then let the arm do its magic.
