*Extremely Rare* and historically significant ORIGINAL 7-INCH Victor 78rpm phonograph record on Victor Monarch Record #997:
"GOOD MORNING CARRIE" by WILLIAMS AND WALKER
Featuring pioneer black recording artists, Bert Williams and George Walker.
Their earliest recordings like this one are almost impossible to find as very few people bought them when new and precious few of those that were sold have survived.
I've never played this record preferring to simply carefully display it all of these years.
There are numerous scattered scratches, scuffs and noticeable play wear on the record surface. There is also a very slight warp.
Should the buyer decide to play this record expect surface noise throughout and especially high during the introductory lead-in grooves area from play of the record during the early 1900's with primitive steel needles and heavy reproducers.
This record is being sold as is, as pictured and as described with no guarantee of playback performance. This is a very rare record and I have always valued it primarily for its historical significance.
