Columbia Masterworks ?– D7S 610, Stereo, Original Issue with 6-eye labels and deep grooves.
The box is solid but has wear issues associated with storage. The vellum spine has foxing, the right front board edge is lighter than the rest as it seems that this strip was exposed and is dusty/faded while the rest of the felt cover is clean and plush. The bottom box edge is a bit slanted down from storage. The booklet insert has foxing on the cover, but the interior is clean. The poster is clean with no significant wear to creases. I suspect unfolding it for the picture may have been the first time it was ever unfolded. The booklet insert has a foxed cover, but the interior is clean. The first attached sleeve has foxing, but the others do not. All LPs stored in original plastic removable inner sleeves. Some of these sleeves were stored protruding from the sleeves, and there was soiling of these sleeves at the protruding edges.
The LPs LOOK QUITE CLEAN AND VERY PLAYABLE, with no scratches on clean vinyl. I will grade them NM, visually graded. No scratches around the spindle holes.
A VERY NICE SET OF VINYL. The box is solid but has wear. There is some foxing on the spine and the interior paper due to age and storage.
A general characterization of this set from the internet: "Many consider these stereo recordings to be Walter's best Beethoven performances, especially Symphony No. 6 which was featured in TAS. This set has been coveted by collectors since it's release in 1959 and many reissues have followed."
