8 Rare BLUE NOTE JAZZ LPs Jackie McLean Horace Silver++
Great Lot from my personal collection of rare jazz LPs. Here's what you get: (I will do my best to describe specifically but if you are interested in more specific condition of one record please contact me)
ATTENTION: at special request of the owner of these records (who surveys these auctions) I have placed the George Braith record pictured (bottom row, center) into another individual auction. See my other auctions to purchase it. THE PICTURED GEORGE BRAITH RECORD WILL NOT BE SOLD IN THIS AUCTION.
- Freddie Redd Quartet w/ Jackie McLean Music from the Connection Blue Note 4027 UL corner has some missing. surface wear / staining on back. jacket is Good +. Front looks excellent. Disc Good+ with some scratching throughout
- Ike Quebec - It Might as Well Be Spring Blue Note BST-84105 "New York USA" label. UL corner cut out. Otherwise jacket is NM-. made 1962. I rarely say this but disc is Mint, looks never played once.
- Ike Quebec - Blue & Sentimental BST-84098 Disc is VG+ shows some minute signs of use. Jacket has UR corner cut out (hardly noticeable). Jacket is VG+++ or NM-, except for that tiny cut out and minute writing in corner of back (4 numbers)
- Hank Mobley Soul Station - possible reissue BLJ-84031. Says "Blue Note is a Subsidiary of Capitol Records" in fine print so must not be from '60s... not sure of date. disc mint, jacket VG+
- Hank Mobley - Lee Morgan Peckin' Time. Blue Note 1574 definite reissue of Mobley and Morgan tunes. ... probably 1988. Jacket VG++ with slight edge wear and disc is Mint.
- Gravy Train Lou Donaldson 1963 "new york USA" label. disc is Good with scratching throughout on both sides, slight spindle wear. Jacket VG++ with some slight surface wear on back side. spine has some greying (not white)
- Elvin Jone Prime Element Blue Note Re-Issue Series 2 disc gatefold. Discs Mint, jacket Good but has some sort of water damage. BN-LA506-H2
- Song For My Father/Horace Silver. Splitting on all of top edge and slight 1" splitting on bottom edge. Surface wear on back and front, but text is still crisp. Pictures look great. So I would put jacket at Good++ (minus the splitting). The disc is Good minus, light scratching with a few heavier scratches mixed throughout.
