Description

Here is a collection of 8 Wilhelm Backhaus lps all on the Decca label. 5 are SXL and the rest are LXT.  Visually graded only. I have, however, played some them some time ago and I have checked any marks that look like they may cause a problem.

 

You are bidding on all of them but if you win & don’t want all of them, I’m happy to adjust the shipping charge.

 

I have listed other classical lps- I need to reclaim some space at home!

 

SXL 6322: Brahms PC. #2: ED2, 1W/1W pressings Vinyl and sleeve are excellent.

 

SXL 6416: Beethoven Sonatas # 3,13,24: ED3, 1W/1W pressings. There is a 1cm scratch towards the end of side 2 that looks like it will sound but I’ve tested this and I can’t hear any repeating ticks. Just in case, I’ll grade the vinyl as very good only. The sleeve is excellent.

 

SXL 2179: Beethoven PC. #5: ED2, 2E/2E pressings Vinyl and sleeve are excellent

 

SXL 2178: Beethoven PC. #1 & 2: ED1, 1E/1E pressings Vinyl has a few very light scuffs on side 1. I would say the vinyl is very good to excellent. The flip-over sleeve is at least excellent with a little biro writing on the rear.

 

SXL 2010: Beethoven PC. #4: The label is odd- “Original Recording at 11 o’clock but there is no groove and it’s definitely a UK pressing. 2G/5G pressings The vinyl has several light marks and scuffs that don’t look like they will sound. I would say the vinyl is very good. and sleeve is excellent.

 

LXT 2839: Beethoven PC. #5: Orange/Silver label with groove 4mm from the edges. Vinyl and sleeve are excellent.

 

LXT 2866: Brahms PC. #1: Orange/Gold label with groove 4mm from the edges. Vinyl has a few very light scuffs so very good but may be better, and sleeve is at least excellent.

 

LXT 2723: Brahms PC. #2: Orange/Silver label with groove 4mm from the edges. Vinyl (has some very light paper scuffs) and sleeve are excellent.
