Description

Jeff Beck, legendary blues and rock guitarist, released an album in 1989 called 'Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop'. It's great, and features drumming by Terry Bozzio, who sleeve many years in Frank Zappa's band, as well as the 80s new wave band Missing Persons. (The album also features keyboards and synthesizer by Tony Hymas.) It's instrumental, mostly (with a few spoken word parts). Beck, of course, passed away in January of this year. Hard to believe it's almost a year already...(RIP Jeff. You truly were an amazing musician, who played on an amazing level. You are missed already!)

It got reissued in 2012, in a very cool gatefold sleeve, and on BLUE VINYL! The gatefold opens up to an extended pic of the cover's artwork. And it's great, as the auto body shop is now fixing...guitars!

Roger Daltrey of The Who released an album in 1985, and it was his sixth solo record. He called it 'Under a Raging Moon'. It's great, and two singles that got airplay are "After the Fire", and the title track. It features Mark Brzezicki and Tony Butler (from Big Country), Robbie McIntosh (of The Pretenders), Bryan Adams, Russ Ballard, and SEVEN different drummers!

Andy Taylor was the orginal guitarist of pop superstars Duran Duran in the 80s. Though he would return briefly a few times, he went in a different direction. Just take the Power Station, for example. Andy played some amazing guitar on those albums, but in 1987, he decided to release his first solo album, titled 'Thunder'. Produced by Steve Jones (Sex Pistols guitarist), it's definitely more rockin' than anything Duran Duran was doing! The songs are great, and two tracks that made it to radio are: "I Might Lie" and "Life Goes On".

In today's look back at 80s albums and artists, we have a THREE pack triple shot of vinyl from three different 80s rockers! First up is the blue vinyl album from Jeff Beck. The vinyl itself looks amazing, and is still all shiny and clean. And it's also 180 gram vinyl! The gatefold jacket is also in fantastic shape. The Roger Daltrey album, as well as the Andy Taylor album, are BOTH STILL SEALED, and NEVER OPENED or PLAYED! Both of these sealed albums have "cut-out" notches, which simply means that those titles were no longer being made. Once you saw the notch cut out, you didn't know if there were 3, 30, 300, or 3000 left in the world. There was simply no way of knowing!

For fans of sealed vinyl albums, 80s rock artists, guitar rock, and vinyl LP collectors. Albums are red hot these days, and audiophiles recognize the warm, rich sound of vinyl on a good turntable as the ultimate in loading pleasure! Grab this 3 pack triple shot of 80s rock today!
