CLEAR LIKE THE OTHERS.
In the 1970’s I embarked on a 30-year campaign to find as many rare and culty vintage LP records as possible
… I was always a very discerning collector and only took in records that were in overall superb-to-nice condition.
I concentrated on amassing scarce personality records, comedy albums, TV show soundtracks, and other fun
oddities. I’ve decided to offer for sale some of the more elusive gems from this long-time collection, so take a
peek at all our listings this week to make sure you don’t miss any vinyl treasures. Some albums will be posted
as single items … others will be sold in groups according to artist or theme. All will be in good-to-great shape.
If you’re one of those ultra-picky LP archivists looking for pristine vintage albums with zero surface noise in fine,
flawless jackets, you will probably do us both a favor by skipping over our listings … but I’m fairly certain that
the average, realistic record hound, who is more appreciative of a rare record’s content than anything else, will
be well pleased with any of the disks we’re offering. Like I said, I was always a harsh grader when I first purchased
each of these disks, which have had very little use or handling in the several decades I’ve owned them. On every
recent occasion that I’ve plucked a stray record from my massive collection and placed it on a turntable, I’ve been
absolutely astounded at how cleanly they play. It always serves to bolster my heartfelt belief that old LP records are
still the best sounding audio format ever.
