A CERTAIN RATIO - THE GRAVEYARD AND THE BALLROOM FACTORY RECORDS FACT 16 UK 1980 ORIGINAL ONE-BUTTON 'GREEN POUCH ' ISSUE - BLACK CASSETTE WITH GREY/OFF-WHITE LABELS Rare original issue of cassette only release on Factory Records from 1980 by artistic electro punk funk band from Manchester - there are many original variants of the cassette (of the 1980 edition not the mid-80s reissue) with pouch in various colours and with one or two buttons (with different inserts inside) and with the cassette either white, grey or black (see my other listings for more variants). I think the first 'original' issue is the one with 'grey/brown pouch' and dark blue labels (as the one I bought first at the time) but the fact that some variants are with one button and others with 2 buttons makes it even more confusing. I've seen the '2-button' variant mentioned as the 'original first issue' but I doubt it. Certainly they are all variants of the 'original' 1980 issue but I don't think they were released simultaneously but in different times in 1980 or even 1981. A nice rare and original item from the punk and new wave scene of the early '80s and in very nice condition. CONDITION (I don't use higher than ex/ex) cover: vg+ cassette: vg+ * I wouldn't put ex for these old cassettes (although most are unused or played once) as there are always little problems like minor creases or dirt on cover plus the sound quality would be low anyway and could play with minor defects, depending on the quality of the equipment (play-tested on mine which is average).
