Here’s an awesome copy of “A Christmas Gift For You From Philles Records”, often refered to as Phil Spector’s Christmas album. This is an original blue label pressing from 1963, and it’s in rarely-seen condition: the vinyl grades VG++, and the cover is a full Near Mint… looks like it was printed yesterday! This is on the Philles label, number 4005. The album features the whole roster of Philles artists: The Ronettes, Crystals, Bob B. Soxx and the Blue Jeans, and Darlene Love. After Phil Spector obsessively labored on this album for many months, it was finally released the day President Kennedy was killed. As a result, the record was a relative failure upon its release (stands to reason that few were in the Christmas spirit that year.) However, the album’s status has grown over the years, and is now regarded as a holiday classic and a work of art. Great copy of a very rare album! INTERNATIONAL BIDS WELCOME.
