Description

This 10 inch LP was issued in 1953, on the RCA "X" Label.  Urbie green is the leader of this 8 piece "all-star" unit that features Urbie on trombone, Joe Wilder (wonderful) on trumpet, Al Cohn on tenor,  Mundell Lowe on guitar, Al Epstein on bari, Milt Hinton on bass, Buddy Weed on piano and Don Lamond on  drums.  The arrangements, which are all right-on for the Holidays, are by Al Cohn.
I've had this in my collection since buying it new in 1953 or 1954.  The album jacket has lots of wear except for the cover itself which looks pretty good.  The three spines show lots of wear except for the top (see photos).   The record surface has small scratches, and there is some surface noise, especially noticeable between tracks.  There is a skip near the beginning of side one, track 2.  So buyer beware.
So why am I listing it? I know it is rare and collectible.   I've seen it listed for as much as $300.  So even in this condition, I thought someone, some collector, might want it.  Here it is for 3 bucks. dave
