The latest Pink Floyd best of Pink Floyd album was released in 2011 as a CD only with the latest remastering, and was released as an analog disc for the first time in 2018. This is the first time Sony Music has released this album in Japan (limited edition). The album features 16 representative songs selected by the band members themselves from their works from 1967 to 1994. The artwork was designed by Storm Thorgason of Hypnosis, who passed away in 2013. The Japanese CD is the first time the LP artwork has been reproduced in paper jacket. The CD was pressed at Sony's Shizuoka factory, where James Guthrie heard a test pressing and approved the sound. The Japanese LP is a 2LP set with a newly designed obi (gatefold sleeve). Newly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plant and cut by Bernie Grundman for the analog release. 180g vinyl weight. The title "A Foot in the Door" means "a first step" (from a door-to-door salesman who puts his foot in the door to get you to listen to him and keep the door closed).
