' A GALAXY OF STARS FROM EMI RECORDS'
This rare & unique compilation was produced in-house by EMI for a presentation event on 24th March 1966.
We have not been able to establish exactly what the event was, but it must have been of great importance to produce such an LP.
The 42 minute programme is introduced by EMI's managing director L.G. Wood and the main programme is narrated by DJ David Jacobs.
Along the way Jacobs bring us the background and history of EMI and introduces clips from back catalogue & contemporary releases including:
The Beatles- 'We Can Work It Out'
The Hollies - 'I Can't Let Go'
Cilly Black - 'Love Is Just A Broken Heart'
Cliff Richard - 'Wind Me Up, Let Me Go'
The Shadows - 'I Met A Girl'
The Swinging Blue Jeans - 'Don't Make Me Over'
Billy J. Kramer - 'We're Doing Fine'
Manfred Mann - 'If You Gotta Go, Go Now'
Freddie & The Dreamers - 'If You've Got A Minute Baby'
as well as easy listening and classical artists on EMI's roster.
This fascinating LP is the only one we have ever offered for sale. It is likely that a only a handful of copies have survived of the small number produced.

The disc is housed in a special printed fully laminated dark blue cover, complete with thick card inner-sleeve detailing the records played and photos of the artists.

Disc: EXCELLENT +
This little played disc bears a few light surface marks but sounds clean & unworn throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENTFully intact, the glossy cover bears minor storagewear, but no major faults.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & uncreased with just a small lower seam split.
