Description
A superb condition example of the original 1964 UK reel to reel 3 & 3/4 ips mono tape release of "A Hard Days Night" by The Beatles complete with the two page "Emitape" leaflet, the warranty slip, and the small, circular green and gold Parlophone logo sticker. Cat No TA-PMC-1230.
Clean, no split corners to lid and base, intact and unbroken spool, clear printed leader tape, no pen markings or stains.
Amazingly the small circular green and gold Parlophone logo sticker is still affixed to the tape spool. These are usually lost.
Pink star tax code to rear top left of base, old style Parlophone logo printed to bottom left of base. The tax code indicator shows that the item was returned to EMI for purchase tax credit, when unsold, and resold later by another retailer. (Stock was provided on a sale or return basis). An indication of how rare these reel to reels were, even in their day, compared to the vinyl LP release. With some retailers they were special order only.
Played and tested - perfect. Emitape leaflet and warranty slip as new. Rare in this near complete condition.
