Hi All, for your consideration we have:
Title: A HARD ROAD BY JOHN MAYALL AND THE BLUESBREAKERS
Cat No: LK 4853 – MONO
Issue: Original 1967 UK issue on RED DECCA Label
Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as VG; the vinyl has retained some of its gloss and sheen. The disc is clean overall with just a few very light scratches and handling marks. Nothing too serious at all and all commensurate with age and with the grade allocated. It is a very presentable copy.
Vinyl Condition Playback: VG; audible static at the run-in to both sides, however, thereafter it play’s back with mild static and mild clicks and pops in places; a little more evident between the tracks, however, nothing too drastic at all and all being commensurate with the grade. Despite the mild static, there is very little lessening in sound quality, and although not silent, even when wearing headphones it is a most enjoyable listen. The vinyl lays flat on the turntable and plays through with no skips or jumps.
Label Condition: VG; as you can see in the photo minimal spindle marks but a name in blue biro on side 1, other than that there's no other blemishes and no damage; all text is clean and legible – fab labels.
Cover Front: VG; the laminated cover is in good fettle, some creasing in the laminate in a few places abit of rubbing. Some minor tape residue top right from sticker removal and a little ring-wear when held to the light.
Cover Back: VG; essentially clean but some browning along the edges and a little ring wear is evident.
Spine: VG+; the spine is in good order with good lamination and it has retained its square appearance; you can still see some evidence of the pinched corners.
Corners: VG; all corners are bumped, a tad rounded-off and shows some loss of colour.
Opening Edge. bumps and knocks mainly the result of normal use – a few wrinkles; not too bad but not perfect.
Summary: A wonderful blues album. Despite the odd bit of static in places this copy is in VG condition overall and as such it would make a great addition to most collections and particularly those that collect blues.
Postage: With regard to postage, all records will be posted in 12” Defenda- corrugated mailers so they should arrive as they left me. Finally, I offer a no-nonsense refund if you’re not delighted with your purchase, less postage of course, which hopefully provides you with sufficient confidence to take a shot, and if you do, good luck.
