Description
1968/Cdn/Boo BST 6801.... A PAssing Fancy operated out of Toronto, Ontario during 1967-68. They were originally known as Dimensions. Their album is a gem and is very sought-after by collectors. Sporting a beautiful cover it blends pop psychedelia (I Believe In Sunshine and Island) with punk (People In Me and I'm Losing Tonight) and features some great psychedelic guitar work, particularly on Your Trip and Spread Out. All five 45s appear on the album but the 45 version of People In Me is different with wild fuzz guitar and screaming vocals from Jay Telfer. The album is essential for connoisseurs of pop, psychedelia and garage punk. re: Dreams, Fantasies & Nightmares.....the cover on this original copy is not in the best of shape, however the brightly colored cover still looks sharp, there is a 2" bottom center seam split, 2" top seam split at opening, heavy ring/corner/edge wear, red LE stamped on back cover, heavy crease top left corner, I got this gem as near Mint vinyl but it's a nice VG++ copy, there are very few scuffs on side one and a couple of small short scratches, the side plays clean with a bit of light noise here and there, side 2 appears equally as clean and opens the first track with some very tiny marks or pressing defect??, they make a few light ticks, there is some other spotty light noiseticks as well but nothing too distracting, the record plays with nice fidelity, over all looks very nice and plays out quite nice from start to finish!, it rates as an R3 and has become quite hard to find in the home town area, don't miss this original Passing Fancy lp for a very reasonable opening bid!, please check my other auctions for more psych/folk/rock etc., good luck and thanks for looking!
