Description

One of the absolute pillars and path-carvers of the "American" sound in Western traditional classical music, Aaron Copland (1900–1990) remains no less a giant to this day. Boasting a truly ridiculous cover image, this 1959 Mercury Living Presence LP features some of Copland's most iconic orchestral works, including Rodeo (Four Dance Episodes), El Salón México, and Danzon Cubano.
Most importantly for our purposes here, the rear record cover boasts an unmissable, unquestionably genuine signature by the composer. I inherited this record as well as thousands more from a close family member who was an usher at the Chicago Symphony for decades as well as a classical music superfan and vinyl junkie nonpareil. 
I am finally making good on a promise to downsize my library, so I hope hanging this exceptional historical relic in your listening room or above your vinyl collection inspires in you as much pride and wonder as it did me.
