Introducing The BEATLES -1964 USA STEREO Vee Jay Records # VJLPS-1062
- Second Issue Stereo Pressing 1964 - As Found -
The album jacket itself is a First Issue VJ 1062 Mono Jacket in Very Good condition. There are no seam splits but a name is written in inkpen on the front cover. The spine is readable. There is corner wear and overall wear but still very displayable.
The vinyl has lots of scuffs and scratches and grades Good to Good+. It has a slight edge warp that jumps when tracking at 2 grams but didn't jump at 4 grams tracking. It's only on the first song on each side. This copy is for someone who wants a STARTER COPY for their collection! The B Side record label had a small scotch tape tear which has been repaired nicely - you can see it in the top right quadrant of the record label.

On Apr-12-23 at 14:27:51 PDT, seller added the following information:Several people asked for pictures of the edge warp. When holding the LP sideways you cannot see the warp at all. The edge of the record looks good and straight. After a closer look at the LP I can see what is causing the problem with my stylus jumping at low gram weights: On Side 1 there are several horizontal machine marks in a straight line about 3" wide altogether, they go across the first 2 songs on Side 1. These marks actually pushed up the vinyl in those places and is what is causing the issue. On the other side, you cannot see the marks, but the vinyl has been raised up along a 3" line and you can see wear marks all along that 3" line. So apparently this likely happened at the factory is my guess. It appears the edge of the record was gripped by some kind of tool that was heated up and it stayed there too long, thus made this mark on the record. Since we are thoroughly disclosing the issues with this STARTER RECORD, please do not buy this and return it. Thank you!
On Apr-15-23 at 15:54:08 PDT, seller added the following information:It was brought to my attention that the LP jacket doesn’t match the songs correctly yo the vinyl record.
So we do happen to have another Introducing The Beatles jacket in VG condition that has the correct song titles on the back cover which match the LP song titles exactly. So the winning bidder can have either the 1 jacket shown in my pictures (which has the incorrect song titles listed) or the second jacket I am proposing which has the correct song titles to match the LPs song titles. Your choice.
