Description

A. SAMBAT - le transgabonais - none SAMBG 682

Unexpected minimal synth record by the genious Alexandre Sambat, who rose to the position of minister in Gabon's government afterwards. This was released in promotion of the completion of a railroad across Gabon, and must have had minimal distrubution as it doesn't show up often at all. Worth getting for the nine minutes long title track, which is a breathing, grooving synth and percussion fest based on a traditional song, but the whole album is filled with that trippy, loosely organised pulsating groove centered around a drum machine, a funky thumping bass, floating synth and organ patterns and the occasional vocal. Don't pass this on!
