Hi thanks for considering this extremely rare AARDVARK UK stereo vinyl LP Deram Nova SDN 17 1970.
'Aardvark, LP, Album, SDN 17 Aardvark were a Midlands-based band who only left us but one single record, highly valued and fiercefully sought after by millions of collectors - for SDN17 Deram Nova (mono or stereo) from 1970.' (Discogs web site)
Condition is obviously "Used" and I would describe the vinyl as Very Good (VG) to Very Good + (VG+) with minor marks and scuffs on vinyl and original outer /inner sleeve as Very Good (VG) - all commensurate and as expected with age (1970) use and storage but nothing that would seriously impair the play quality in my opinion - start price to reflect condition and rarity.
I use Discogs 'Goldmine' Standard (thankyou) to aid my visual description - no vinyl player so untested but previous vinyl buyers all give +ve feedback (see Below for Guide) - due to the rarity and probable value of this LP I have examined the vinyl very closely both under strong light and daylight and can find no visible scratches marks or scuffs that would detract from play or my Discogs description.
The outer cover is the original with 'peephole' for identifying Mono/Stereo (Red - Mono Blue - Stereo) this is Blue Stereo. The cover photo is clear and graphics are good - evidence of a small sticky price label residue and some 'foxing' to rear. The picture cover and inner sleeve are both original with signs of storage wear and slight mustiness associated with age and storage. All photos actual not stock copy. Condition is "Used".
VG+
A Very Good Plus (VG+) record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Any defects are of a cosmetic nature and do not affect the actual playback. In theory, a VG+ record should sound the same as a Near Mint (NM) one. Vinyl surfaces may show some signs of wear, such as slight scuffs or very light scratches. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are okay. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a small seam-split. An LP cover may have sparse signs of wear and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, it plays perfectly, and if not for some minor aesthetic wear, it would be Near Mint.
VG
The defects found in a Very Good Plus (VG+) record will be more pronounced in a Very Good (VG) item. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song?s intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, such as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, a VG item will not have all of these problems at the same time.
Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class or similar from virus and smoke free home using recycled packaging wherever possible. Due to value this item will be tracked and signed for. Enjoy Summer and stay safe cheers John
