Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX+

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly prized 1st UK HEAVYWEIGHT pressing - WITH THE VINTAGE 70s 1st  EPIC LABELS, and it is in incredible condition..

MOST COPIES OF THIS MILLION SELLER WERE ON THE ORANGE EPIC LABEL AND ETCHED MATRIX NUMBERS..THESE EARLY COPIES ARE SUPER RARE.

This first pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is the tiniest of dulling only and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all, let alone like this.

The centre hole shows a few tiny light spindle skate lines, the holes remain tight with no wear.

Under a very bright light you can see there are a few tiny light whisp lines and a few very light hairlines.

There is no damage or wear to either side or anything which spoils the play. The LP was played only what appears to be a handful of times, and then archived since then to now- these vinyls we are listing are simply as good as it gets.. all are in supreme  condition.

A professional hoover clean could remedy this vinyl to even greater condition..as it stands there are a few light dust pops and cracks as the LP plays but only on a couple of tracks.. & there was some tiny lead in static in the dead grooves as you would expect.

OVERALL A STUNNING VINYL IN SUPERB CONDITION

THE SLEEVE     MINT-   STUNNING!

Correct FLAT MATT  first issued earliest STICKERED GATEFOLD sleeve -With the SQUARE 'PROUD' SPINE

Most sleeves of this LP are glossy rounded spine versions, this is the earliest 'SHOREWOOD PACKAGING' sleeve..super rare to see like this.

 This is in SUPERB condition with virtually no signs of wear - Just a few tiny little spider lines over the edges and SOME VERY LIGHT LITTLE SPOTS OF RUB on the back seam

The edges are all super clean , all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition -with just a couple of spots of edge rub on the top & bottom

No powdery white ringwear - and only the feintest of ring press hardly visible at all.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -no  trace of feathering.

The tips have some tiny litle rub on the spine top and bottom, nothing of note elsewhere.

INSIDE THE GATEFOLD IT IS PERFECT AS NEW!
