Description
ABBA - 'THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC' - 7" 45 RPM SINGLE - PICTURE DISC - ABBA 'LOGO' SHAPED 1983
Description:
- This is a 45 rpm, 7 inch single released on the Epic label in the UK in 1983
- This is a version released as a picture disc in the shape of the ABBA logo.
- The 'B' side has release information and individual colour photos of the band
- The 'A' side was originally recorded in 1977 and featured on the LP 'ABBA - The Album.
- The single was released to help promote the 1983 compilation album 'Thank You For The Music', the 'B' side comes from the 1980 album - 'Super Trouper'.
- The single, in all formats, failed to make the top 30 in the UK (although the band had effectively split by the time of its release)
- Track listing:- 'A' side - 'Thank You For The Music', 'B' side - 'Our Last Summer'
- Both sides were written, produced and arranged by Benny Andersson & Bjorn Ulvaeus and engineered by Michael B Trelow
- Contained in a clear plastic sleeve
- Catalogue number WA 3894
Condition:
- The single appears to be in good condition, although it does exhibit the 'tea stain' fading common with this release
- There are some marks and scratches and there are some audible pops and some surface noise, although neither really detract from either side on playback
- The clear plastic sleeve, which I have no way of knowing if it is original or not, is heavily creased and has some slight label residue and other marks. However the sleeve is intact and serves it purpose as protection
- Using the Goldmine grading system I would say the record is Good +
