For auction is ABBEY LINCOLN's "Abbey Is Blue," on Riverside RLP 12-251, MONO, 1959.

SOUND:

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. All I can say is, the sound is great! There was a few crackles here and there, and one "pop" in A2, "Lonely House". I only mention it to be complete! The rest of the record is awesome, sounds just great!

Overall, VG+ (probably better) for sound.

VINYL:

Visually, the vinyl is beautiful! At least NM! Clean, blue 'mic and reel' labels with 'BILL GRAUER PRODUCTIONS' along the bottom (no 'INC.'). Deep-grooved both sides.

COVER:

The cover is about VG+. The edges are solid, with a little wear here and there, the corners are a little bit frayed. The front and back are unmarked, with routine aging. a little ring-wear on front. Overall, very nice!

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
