This auction is for a rare and out-of-print copy of the classic Abigail / Barbatos "Sexual Metal Holocaust" LP released by Bestial Onslaught Productions in 2002. This has been out-of-print and unavailable for five or more years now. There are five Abigail songs here and five from Barbatos. For those of you who don't know, Abigail are one of Japan's original black metal pioneers, with demos in the early '90s and some classic 7" EPs in the same time frame. Between the release of their first LP ("Intercourse and Lust") and this split, they had gradually developed their own subgenre, which they call Street Metal. In fact, the name of their second LP, released a year after this split, is "Forever Street Metal Bitch." Street Metal takes their traditional Japanese black metal sound (influenced by their forebears and contemporaries like Sabbat and Sigh, as well as European acts like Venom and Bathory) and adds a Motorhead/punk infusion, which fits perfectly with their lyrics about drinking, sex, evil and war. The tracks here are some of my favorite Abigail songs, like "War 666" and "Violence, Kill and Destruction." Barbatos, of course, are Abigail mainman Yasuyuki's metal/punk side project, with the same lyrical topics but less emphasis on the occult and an even punker/more rocking sound. This LP is pure aural holocaust, if you don't own it you should! The cover, insert and vinyl are all in excellent shape.  I happened to end up with an extra copy of this fantastic album after buying a friend's record collection, so I'm offering it up here.
